Beginning on Wednesday, July 15, you may notice a new login page when accessing HUD Secure Systems. Don’t be alarmed, this is an expected change. We saw the change reflected on July 23.
While there are currently several ways to access the Secure Systems login page, the link many users currently use is set to expire on August 15th, 2026.
Going forward, when you navigate to the Secure Systems page, you will automatically be redirected to the new Secure Systems login page at https://hudapps.hud.gov/hud/ where you will see new images and options – a screenshot is provided.
To access the Secure Systems portal:
- Click “Sign On to HUD Secure System” (the first button on the page).
- Log in using your existing M-ID and password.
- Once you are logged in, the remaining Secure Systems pages will look the same as they do today.
More to come on August 15: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Beginning August 15, HUD will implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Secure Systems. During your first login after this change, you will be prompted to enroll in Okta Verify, which will be used to authenticate your identity for future logins. You may need your IT Department to download the application.
